Of all the paid iPad games I have ever played, Angry Birds is the application I have spent the most time with, and had become a bonding moment for me and my girlfriend, Leng. I bought this game for $4.99 through iTunes. You can, too through this link.
What do you get when you put together a destructible environment, egg stealing pigs and legless, wingless birds with the temperament of Adolf Hitler? Loads of fun and probably hours and hours of time killed. Angry birds a strategy-puzzle catapult physics game which goes beyond what a flash game called Crush the Castle popularized.
You fling the birds themselves into the structures, the idea is to kill all the pigs in the entire game, by directly hitting them, squashing them in between structures, dropping debris on them or simply by just making them fall off heights.

The birds vary in colors and abilities, from the basic red cannonball type bird to the yellow diving bird to the black exploding bird, this adds spice and more fun into your gaming experience. Truly, the personality of the game shines through these cute but deadly avian.

To add more fun into the game, you are presented with over 100 levels of game, ranging from extremely easy to downright frustrating. The golden egg stages, hidden in the game and uncovered through various ways (like tapping onto the sun twice or simply by watching the credits roll), add more fun, creative levels to the existing ones.
You are given a predetermined number and order of birds, though, so that rules out some strategy right there. Besides that, sometimes, you need just pure luck to finish off a level. Not skill. Those cons, however, are just small compared to the delight you will experience from the game.
Angry Birds HD at a Glance:
