The best iPad games for kids should be colorful and entertaining, as the colors help them develop eyesight and interaction help improve reflexes. Additionally, a quality educational app for children should always be in the iPad of a mother, father or anyone with children in the family.
We have kids in the house. I have two nieces and my iPad have a few children’s application installed for them. The iPad games for the kids help us keep them well behaved, show them how to share and keep them entertained.
This post will show you the iPad games we use for the kids!
1. Colorific ($2.99)
Video was used with permission from the developers.
Colorific ($2.99 via itunes) is somewhat like a combination of an MS Paint application and a coloring book. Basically, you can color an existing image, including dinosaurs, cutesy animals, and numbers. What sets this app apart from other coloring games is that Colorific boasts the fill function, where you can replace an entire color (including whites) with another color. After finishing, the user can share it via email. There are 44 coloring pages available right now, but I guess the developers will add more soon. Oh, by the way, aside from my niece, I also tested it on an adult (ie – my girlfriend) and she did an amazing job. <3
2. Talking Tom Cat HD (free)

Talking Tom HD is a cute animated feline which responds to taps on the iPad. Tap on his toes and he jumps in pain, his tummy to make him hurt and you can also tap his face to knock him out.
The most fun of all is that the cat repeats what you say (in a higher tone) if you talk to the iPad!

3. Spongebob Marbles and Slides HD ($4.99)

Spongebob Marbles and Slides is a fun dynamic puzzle game that includes drawing lines and tilting the iPad to finish a level. The mechanics are easy enough for toddlers.
Spongebob Squarepants is a really popular character to the kids and that alone merits a place in your springboard!

4. Handy Manny for the iPad ($2.99)

Handy manny helps you bond with your kids through five different games in this one children’s app by Disney’s show of the same title.
Game modes include: Find it! Match it! Puzzle it! Color it! Sing it!

5. I Hear Ewe (free)

Help children have fun and develop their hearing with different animal and vehicle sounds with I Hear Ewe. While the child taps, taps and taps onto the device, you can do some other work!
This iPad app is premium quality. Apps of the same concept will charge you to download.
This is free so download I Hear Ewe now.
6. Starwalk for iPad ($4.99)
Starwalk is not really an iPad game, rather an educational app tool for parents. This app leverages the mapping technology of the iPad so when you scan your iPad over the sky, you highlight the stars and constellations and you can zoom in for information. Really facinating piece of software.

Starwalk is just $4.99, so download here.
There. I will update this list when we download more noteworthy iPad games for children. Please Tweet, Facebook Like or bookmark this post if you like it!
